Robber Brings a Knife to a Gun Fight, The Ending is Pretty Obvious

Upper Darby Shooting

Upper Darby was the scene of a robbery gone horribly wrong, at least for the robber.

A man whose name has not been released to media outlets was standing on the corner of Bridge and James Street in Upper Darby on Sunday morning at 11:30 when another man walked up to him, armed with a knife.

The man with the knife then told the other man that he was going to rob him, to which the other man announced that he had a concealed handgun on him.

The robber was not deterred by the carrier’s threat and continued to move toward him, knife displayed, intent on robbing the carrier.

It was at that point, the carrier reached for his handgun and shot the would-be robber in the leg.

Police were then called to the scene where they picked up the injured wannabe thief and took him to the hospital for the injuries sustained, but they were not deemed to be threatening, and he was released into custody the very same day.

The police have not released the name of the attempted mugger nor any of the details for what he has been charged for. There is also no indication that the concealed carrier will be seeing any criminal punishments for his defensive shooting.

And with that, another criminal is brought to quick and swift justice by a combination of concealed carry do-gooder and the local police. Thankfully it seems that the situation was well worked out with the information law enforcement received and the cool-headedness of the shooter and the police.
