Do I have to be a Pennsylvania resident to Apply?

Non-residents may apply if they have a permit from their home state or if you are from Vermont. Specific county sheriffs may have additional restrictions

How old do I have to be?

You must be age 21+ in order to apply for the permit.

What is the Application Fee for the Pennsylvania permit?

$20

How Often Does the Permit Expire?

Every five years.

What is the Renewal Fee?

Twenty dollars is the renewal fee

 

How long does it take to get the permit after my application has been submitted?

This varies by county. There are some counties who are able to issue permits on the same day as the application is submitted. More likely you will have to wait 45 days + to get your permit approval or denial.

What is Your Refund Policy? What If I Can’t Attend the Class I Signed Up For?

We will refund students when unable to attend a class they have prepaid for. We ask for prepayment only to have a reliable count of how many students are coming. This has become necessary because we fill most of our classes to capacity. Our full refund policy can be see here.
