About the Home Firearm Safety Course

This course teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and to explain the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.

Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports.

Please note this is a Non-Shooting class and is perfect for:

• Anyone who would like to introduce family members or children to safe firearm handling
• Anyone who is new to gun ownership
• Anyone who would like a refresher on gun safety rules and best practices in the home

Where is the Class Located?:

This class will be held at the North Buffalo Sportsman’s Club in Kittanning PA. We will send you the exact address and directions via email after you register. Please note we do NOT allow walk-ins. Do not show up to the class without registering in advance as you will not be admitted.
